Ian is the inventor of Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), an approach to machine learning frequently used at Facebook. A very useful application of GAN is in its use to generate synthetic data for supervision. Currently, Ian is the Director of Machine Learning in Apple’s Special Projects Group.
