>>National Association of Software and Services Companies – “The analytics industry in India is expected to grow to $16 billion by 2025 from $2 billion at present”- this means 8 fold increase in the size of the industry. Imagine the number of times the job market will grow for Analytics!
>>As per Nasscom vice-president KS Viswanathan– “India is today among the top 10 destinations for analytics and our aspiration is to be among the top three in the world by 2025. India will have 32 percent share in the global market.” Indian IT industry was regarded as the driver for the Services sector in India, Next is Analytics.
>>600 analytics firms in India, with over 90,000 analytics professionals across different verticals, and about $700 million worth of funding has gone to startups working in the field – There are more than 3100 start ups and a huge chunk of them are in the Big Data analytics space.
>>S. Viswanathan, Vice President, Nasscom, said the sector was expected to grow at CAGR (compounded annual growth rate) of 26 percent over next five years.
>>V.R. Mohan Reddy, former chairman, Nasscom, said that artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms have advanced rapidly to enable the development of machines that can now do tasks that require deep expertise and skills.- Skills to look forward to are – Machine learning, Predictive analytics.
