Only about 1 in 5 C-suite leaders is a woman<\/li>\n<li>Only 38 percent manager positions are held by women largely due to Gender gap issues!<\/li>\n<li>One in five women says they are often the only woman or one of the only women in the room at work! This is twice as common for senior-level women and women in technical roles: around 40% of them are Onlys.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>All excerpts from the report &#8220;Women in the Workplace 2018&#8221; by LeanIn.Org\u00a0and\u00a0McKinsey &amp; Company<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But the companies around the world today are scurrying to make it right for women everywhere across the corporate world in line with the 2030 UN sustainability goal.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Today, for every dollar earned by men, female employees in the U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/diversity\/inside-microsoft\/default.aspx\">earn<\/a> $1.000 dollars in the same job title and level.<\/li>\n<li>In Apple across the board, the company reports that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.recode.net\/2017\/11\/9\/16628286\/apple-2017-diversity-report-black-asian-white-latino-women-minority\">29 % of its leadership roles<\/a>\u00a0are filled by women.<\/li>\n<li>The percentage of women globally at Facebook has increased from 31% in 2014 to 36% today.<\/li>\n<li>The number of women at Facebook in technical roles has increased over 7X over the last five years.<\/li>\n<li>Over the last four years at Google, the percentage of women in leadership globally has <a href=\"https:\/\/diversity.google\/annual-report\/\">increased<\/a> from 20.8% to 25.5%.<\/li>\n<li>At Intel almost 24% of women in technical roles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This women\u2019s day we wanted to know the power of analytics which drives some of our successful alumni who have carved a niche for themselves in the field of analytics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/tanwi-swaika-94bbb5127\/\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tanwi Swaika<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> currently working as an Analyst Intern at HSBC is thankful she took the leap of faith into Analytics :<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cSwitching to analytics wasn&#8217;t an easy decision for me knowing the level of competition in this area and the ongoing process of being a step ahead&#8230; I have M. Sc in Economics\u00a0from Calcutta University but couldn&#8217;t get any on campus job offer but that didn&#8217;t get me down&#8230; I knew i need to give this field a chance and i was ready to take that call. With the right guidance,\u00a0 support and mentorship from Ivy i am happy to share that i did reap the results of my hard work&#8230;. Always believe yourself and never give up because there is nothing that you can&#8217;t do.\u201d\u00a0 We agree !<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/moutrisha-chakraborty-91590171\/\">Moutrisha Chakraborty<\/a> tells us on how she successfully transitioned from a Teacher to a now Data Analyst at PwC. As I am from Economics &amp; Statistics background, I found data analytics to be the perfect career option for me. This was the career option, where I could use my existing knowledge as well as get a huge scope to learn more about practical world. As the day passes by importance of data analytics is increasing in every sector.
