We recently spoke to one of our ex-student, Saptarishi after he got placed in Grofers. He was happy to share with us his thoughts on his journey into analytics.
–Tell us a bit about your education background and how did you consider Joining a course in Data Analytics?
I have completed B.Tech in Computer Science and Engg. Worked for 2 years in Infosys Limited in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. Passed out of MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management – Bengaluru in 2017. As I have worked on Descriptive analytics and also studied R programming as a course during my MBA, so I got more interested in the Data Analytics course.
–What prompted you to join Ivy Pro School?
After completion of my MBA, I came to Kolkata as it’s my native place and decided to join a Join Data analytics course from a Good institute and I searched on the internet and found that IVY is the No. 1 institute to serve my purpose. I visited IVY and after discussing with them, I found that IVY has a Data Science course that covers everything I need. So Joined IVY.
–What is your advice to budding Data Analysts/Scientists?
One needs to do hands-on practice to learn analytics. Ivy Offers enough options to do so. Projects are mandatory and the classes are based on case studies
–How has Ivy helped you to jump into the field of Analytics?
All teachers at Ivy have been supportive. Special thanks to Eeshani Mam for teaching me Advanced Excel and Najeeb sir for teaching R programming which really helped me to land this job.
–What is your outlook on the Data Science Industry?
The Data Science industry is growing. I am working in Bangalore currently and there definitely is a lot of scopes here.
